A few more details on the $40 million donation to Brooklyn Bridge Park: it’s being given by Joshua Rechnitz, who the Daily News describes as “a competitive track cycling enthusiast.” The money will allow for the construction of a competitive cycling track, tennis, volleyball, basketball, and gymnastics courts, and a boathouse near Pier 5.
